Where to buy longchamp bags at 50% discount

Yes most of the Longchamp handbags that you see below are selling at 50% off their normal retail. Pictures are taken at El Corte Ingles which is the biggest chain of department stores in Spain.

If you are planning to head to Europe soon. Following are some of my personal advice if you are planning to shop for a Longchamp handbag.

1. Visit during Europe Summer Sales. Make sure you travel during the summer sales period which is between July to Sept in Europe. August is the best time.
2. Buy at huge departmental stores instead of Longchamp boutiques. You have a better chance of getting much better discount at huge department stores in Europe then the Longchamp retail stores. For example if you are in Barcelona or Madrid, make sure you check out El Corte Ingles which is the biggest chain of department stores in Spain . Most of the photo in this blog is taken from there. If you are in UK, it has to be Selfridges. If you are in Paris, Le Bon Marché, BHV, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps.
3. Avoid buying at Longchamp boutiques at the airport. Some people will tell you to buy at Longchamp outlets at the airport as it is tax-free. Yes and No to that. Yes you will get the most of the tax refund because you need not pay commission to tax-free companies like Globe Blue however most of the outlets have limited range and you will not usually find bags that are on clearance sales there. That is to say it is unlikely you will find handbags that are 50% off.
4. Don’t expect the popular handbags to be put on Sales! Most of the handbags that are put on sales are either off-season that you see in the pictures above or not so popular color that the department store is trying to clear. For example, they have the popular Longchamp Le Pliage Neo Model 1515 in leather going at 40% discount off but the only color that are available is bright pink, green and yellow. See pictures below.
