7rp vs Samorga … is it really worth it?

7rp or 7 Rue Paradis insert is a top premier brand for purse organizer. If Samorga is Louis Vuitton, 7rp would be the “Hermes” of all purse organizers. This is clearly reflected in its hefty price tag where an insert for a similar purse by 7rp will cost you 10 times more than Samorga. Is it really worth it? Let explore in our review follow:

Overall Design
One of key difference between 7rp versus Samorga is Samorga does over 100 custom-fitting purse organizers ranging from high end Hermes to common brands such as Longchamp and Coach. 7rp only specialise in doing purse organizers for high end brands such as Hermes, Dior and Chanel. Material
One of the key difference between 7rp versus Samorga is the material used by both brands. Samorga use felt for their purse organizer whereas 7rp uses alcantara. For those that are unfamiliar with alcantara and what it all about, it a type of microfiber composing 68% polyester and 32% polyurethane. The appearance and tactile feel of the material is similar to that of suede. Alcantara is commonly seen in automotive applications, as a substitute for leather and vinyl in vehicle interior trim. In the past, it is used on high-end cars like Ferrai but the price of alcantara has come down significantly these days making it more and more affordable. Alcantara’s look, felt and touch is definitly more premier when you compared against felt used by Samorga. However Alcantara is not a durable fabric just like felt, friction will cause microfiber to wear away making it look worn out after extensive use. See how worn out and grainy the material is in the picture below.

For Samorga, orders are shipped out in 1-20 business days. After dispatch, Fedex priority transit time is 2-4 business days but there are unexpected delays for some of countries. Shipping cost is only USD$32.00.

7rp takes around 10 business days, though depending on demand it can be slower or faster. After it has been custom-made, 7rp shipped out using FedEx International Priority® which takes about 2 business days and it cost €37.47

Pro and Con
7rp differentiate itself against other popular organizers by using alcantara which is premier fabric compared to felt which is a craft material. With a hefty price tag, it will definitely provide you a “wow” factor when you tell others that you owned a 7rp insert. The similar “wow” factor when you own a Birkin versus a Speedy 30. However if budget is a concerned, in our opinion Samorga is just as good.
