Purse Perfector Reviews

When I first saw this purse organizer insert by Purse Perfector, I was impressed! “Woh! What a clever design for a purse organizer insert, now I don’t need to buy a small and mid size organizer anymore”. If you have not seen one yourself yet, just imagine two purses, one big and one small that can attached or detached via a zipper. Following is a picture of how it looks like.

In spite of Purse Perfector’s innovative purse organizer design, there are still things that I like and don’t like about Purse Perfector.

Things that I like about Purse Perfector

• By detaching and zipping off the smaller purse I can either use the smaller or slightly bigger purse organizer for my smaller handbags, what a clever design!
• It is extremely lightweight, the total weight is only 5 ounces or around 140 gram
• It has a huge centre compartment which is the zipper portion that I can use it for my ipad. This one of the few organizer that has a centre compartment. The other purse organizer that has centre compartment include CloverSac Emma 22 or 28 and Samorga
• It is made in USA and we were impressed with the workmanship. I personally like the different between the inside and outside. I guess it one of those things whether you like it or hate it.
• With Thirteen (13) pockets including four (4) flat card pockets, eight (8) tailored pockets, and a long center pocket. I basically have more than enough pockets to put the stuff

Things that I don’t like about Purse Perfector

• First thing that we don’t like about Purse Perfector is if you are looking for a purse organizer that has good overall structure that can hold its shape well, Purse Perfector is not for you. A structure or a stiff organizer comes in handy when your handbag is made of soft leather. With a structured or stiff organizer, the organizer can help to keep the handbag in shape. What I meant by a handbag that is made of soft leather is something like below.

• With a structured organizer it can hold the handbag in shape.
• The truth is you cannot have the best of both world, purse organizer either weigh heavier by been stiff or they weigh lighter and has weak structure. So if you are looking for a purse organizer that can hold the shape of your handbag, Purse Perfector is not for you.
• Second thing that we didn’t like about Purse Perfector are their prices. The list price for a large organizer is USD$54.95 and for smaller version, it is priced at USD$49.95. These prices are fairly steep for a standard non-customise or off-the-shelf purse organizers. Most standard purse organizers like Purse to Go, Chameleon Insert or CloverSac are priced between USD18 to USD25. For example the Emma 22 and 28 by CloverSac is only priced USD$22 which is less than half of Purse Perfector prices.
• Maybe I being overly paranoid but I don’t really the metal zipper at the outside of the purse organizer, I am overly concern that it may scratch my USD10K plus Hermes Birkin 30. Even with the detachable feature, you may end up not using it at all.
